Novavax Applies For EUA of its COVID-19 Vaccine in India

Novavax, a US-based company, has applied for emergency use authorization in India for its COVID-19 vaccine. It made regulatory submissions to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) through Serum Institute of India (SII).

Besides India, Novavax has also sought EUA in Indonesia and the Philippines for its COVID-19 vaccine. The company also plans to seek the review of the World Health Organization to be a part of the global vaccine program, COVAX. The US-based vaccine maker has partnered with Serum Institute of India for manufacturing, developing and sale of the vaccine in India.
